Mark Description:
The mark consists of a black background in the shape of a shield. Across the top half of the shield and extending slightly beyond the borders are the words "HOUSTON HURRICANES". Where "HOUSTON" is on top in all capital letters and the font decreases in size in the middle and expands in size symmetrically towards the beginning and end of the word. Below this is the word "HURRICANES" in all capital letters where the font is the same for the entire word but arches slightly. Outlining the entirety of the shield image and words are a thin gray line on the inside, then a thin white line in the middle, and a thin black line on the outside forming a border. Below and slightly to the right of the words and overlapping across the black, gray, and white border is a circle with a jagged spikes edged ring around it in the likeness of a hurricane symbol. The circle with the spikes is gray with thin, white lines in areas to create a 2D style. The circle is outlined in black. Inside the circle is a ball that has 5 squiggly lines across it starting on the left side and move across the surface of the "ball" towards the right. Each line tapers off to a narrow point. The top two lines are white. The third line is black. The bottom two lines are white. The ball is outlined in black.
